Recording
The transcript only has my voice, not the other people in the call
macOS needs your permission before an app can hear other apps. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording, find the System Audio Recording Only list, and turn on Transcriple. Then start a new recording.
Transcriple only records audio from meeting apps and browsers, and only while you are recording.
My own voice is missing
Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone and turn on Transcriple. You can choose which microphone to use in Transcriple › Settings › Recording.
Which meeting apps work?
Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Webex, Discord, FaceTime, Skype, Amazon Chime, Telegram and WhatsApp, plus Google Meet and other web meetings in Chrome, Safari, Arc, Edge, Brave and Firefox. When a meeting is in a browser, Transcriple records that browser's audio, so mute other tabs that play sound.
I use speakers, not headphones. Is that OK?
Yes. Transcriple filters out the other people's voices that your microphone picks up from the speakers, so they aren't transcribed twice. Headphones still give the cleanest result.

Which speech model should I use?
Large v3 Turbo (about 1.6 GB) is the default and the best balance of speed and accuracy for Indonesian and English. If your Mac has 8 GB of memory, try Large v3 Turbo (Compact) (about 630 MB). Manage models in Settings › Models.
A model download fails or stops
Models are downloaded from Hugging Face. Check your internet connection and that huggingface.co isn't blocked by a firewall or VPN, then try again in Settings › Models. Partly downloaded models are removed automatically.
A file won't import
Transcriple reads MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, CAF, FLAC, MP4 and MOV files. OGG, Opus and WebM aren't supported by macOS; convert them to M4A or MP3 first.
Where are my recordings stored?
Everything is in Transcriple's own folder on your Mac:
~/Library/Containers/dev.fiqhan.transcriple/Data/Library/Application Support/Transcriple
Use Export in a transcript to save a copy anywhere else. Deleting a recording removes its audio, transcript and summaries; imported source files are left where they were.

How do I use a local AI model?
What happens when I use a cloud provider?
When you add your own API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter or another server, the transcript text you summarize or ask about is sent to that provider. Audio is never sent. Transcriple asks once per provider before the first request. Your key is stored in your Mac's keychain.
Purchases
What does the free version include?
Every feature. Each recording or file is transcribed up to the first 30 minutes. The audio itself is always recorded in full, so nothing is lost.
I bought Pro. What happens to my older recordings?
Recordings that stopped at 30 minutes are transcribed to the end automatically, as soon as Pro is active.
How do I get Pro on another Mac?
Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account, open Transcriple › Settings › Pro and click Restore Purchases.
How do I ask for a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Still stuck? Email hello@fiqhan.dev. Include your macOS version, the Transcriple version from Settings › Pro, and what you were doing when the problem happened. Please don't attach recordings unless you're asked to.
